The Nebula Controller offers a wide range of connections methods that users can choose from on depending on their particular setup design.
The Nebula controller allows the WiFi direct connection through the Nebula WiFi HotSpot but in case of setup on the field when internet networks are not available or in case of Star Party situations when many devices can create WiFi network buzz issues, a smart solution may be the use of Mini Router to create a dedicated LAN on the field.
This option bring several benefits as the possibility to connect simultaneously more than one device, very reliable WiFi or LAN cabled connection and the possibility to connect via tethering a smartphone to provide internet to the network.
Below is available an infogrraphic showing the connectivity scheme.

Below the steps to establish the connection:
- Connect an ethernet LAN cable from the Mini Router LAN port to the Nebula ETH port.
- Power on the Mini Router (this device can be powered on with it’s own power adapter or from one of the USB nebula ports)
- Connect the device (smartphone, tablet, etc…) to the Mini Router WiFi HotSpot
- Find the Nebula controller IP address by accessing to the Nebula WebApp (the quickest way is the smartdevice connection as described in this article: https://www.stars-astronomy.com/connect-with-nebula-with-smart-devices/)
- Connect the smartdevice to the Mini Router HotSpot network
- Run any browser on the smartdevice and type on the URL bar the IP address found
